New walk from Newmills to Tregadillett

This is a circular walk of just under 4 miles from the Newmills end of the Launceston Steam Railway, which can be combined with the train journey to make a full day out. The route passes through Tregadillett where there is an option for a pub lunch at the historic Eliot Arms, and there are suitable spots along the route for a picnic in summer. The return route passes the Kestle rings hillfort which has evidence of occupation dating back to the Stone Age. Seasoned walkers can probably complete the walk in 2-2.5 hours but we recommend allowing 3 hours (plus any time for pub/picnics) to make sure you don't miss the last train back to Launceston!
