This is a circular walk at St Agnes of just over 3 miles with some moderately steep sections on the main route (plus some optional steep diversions), starting and ending at Trevaunance Cove.
From the cove, the route climbs through Downquay Gardens which was until quite recently an area of wasteland donated to the village and transformed by volunteers. Above the gardens it joins the coast path and follows this over the headland to Trevellas Porth. Here the route turns inland passing the engine houses to reach Blue Hill Tin where tin is still produced using traditional methods such as waterwheels from ore washed up on Trevellas Porth.
The walk then follows the stream up Trevellas Coombe which in Victorian times was an industrial hub for mineral processing but has since been reclaimed by nature.
The route then follows tracks, footpaths and lanes to join Water Lane and follow this along the stream to the Peterville Arms. From here, it follows a footpath through the woods to the bottom of Stippy Stappy - the infamously steep row of 18th Century cottages. From here it's a short (but stippy and stappy) diversion to visit the church which dates to medieval times on a site which is thought to date back to the Dark Ages.
The final leg is via Coronation Walk along the edge of Trevaunance Coombe, with views over St Agnes, descending to the Driftwood Spars at Trevaunance Cove to complete the circular route.
The walk is available as a guided walk app for Android and also in the app for Apple iPhones and iPads.
There are also a several more St Agnes walks on the iwalknorthcornwall website.
